Two Favorites: The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Night Circus

I have been so busy with school lately that I haven't had much reading time, but I have read two books lately that are on my all-time favorites list!

The Night Cirus by Erin Morgenstern and The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

I re-read Perks this week and loved it just as much as the first few times I read it and I am so glad the movie has finally arrived at a theater near me and will be seeing it ASAP! This is a powerful and intense book that I recommend to anyone I can.

I read The Night Circus for the first time and wow, it was wonderful. It was a magical and beautifully written read that I will also be recommending to everyone. I can only imagine how fantastic a film version of this novel would be!

Have you read either of these books? What did you think of them?

  1. The Night Circus is AMAZING. I read it earlier this year, and didn't expect much, mostly because a) I didn't like the cover and b) I'm not usually one for romances. But this one took me by surprise. The writing is beautiful. Definitely on my favorites list!

  2. Haven't read either JUST YET. I've owned a copy of PERKS for a couple of years though, and with the movie I'll definitely get to reading it soon. I'm glad that you love both of them, it's very encouraging. I've heard so many great things about THE NIGHT CIRCUS, though I don't really even know what it's about (other than what the title and cover imply).

  3. I haven't read either of those books though I do have Night Circus in my TBR pile (just a little down).

I hope I like it as much as you :D

  4. I love, love, loved THE NIGHT CIRCUS. I'm always sad when I hear people didn't love it though... which seems to happen too much! :(

I really need to read PERKS, but somehow haven't gotten around to it yet... Fail!

  5. Both brilliant books, I think. Night Circus is in a category of its own for me...
