The Book Scout
I decided to start a blog as an outlet where I can discuss books and authors that I love. It's great to be able to share my feelings about books with people I know will appreciate them.
The Book Scout originated in July 2009 and has been steadily growing since. I currently have over 1,100 followers and have posted a variety of reviews, author interviews, and contests. I started this blog as a teenager and, thus, a majority of the reviews are of young adult and middle grade books. Since I graduated from college in 2016, I have been reading more nonfiction and adult books, I now hope to share my thoughts on all kinds of different titles for a variety of ages. The book blogging community is amazing and I am so glad to be a part of something so awesome and special. I've had the chance to meet so many great authors and bloggers in person and am looking forward to getting more involved in author events and book clubs in the DC area.
I've been lucky enough to be quoted in several books, (Darklight, Girls Acting Catty, The Sapphire Talisman, the ARC of Small Town Sinners, the ARC of Little Women and Me, Stealing Bases).
Thus far my blogging experience has been fantastic and I'm looking forward to many more great years of reading and reviewing books!
