Blog Tour: Albert Borris Interview and Giveaway

1. How did you create the characters of Owen, Frank, Audrey, and Jin-Ae?

Owen was me. At twenty-two, I walked down the highway, almost giving myself time to get hit. No cars came.

Frank, Audrey and Jin-Ae were strummed up from characters I had written about several years ago. All told, maybe 10% of each character came out of real people I met years before.

2. If you could have prevented one celebrity mentioned in the novel from committing suicide, who would it be and why?

I think it would be Judas. I don’t know why, I just think it would make a great story!

3. In what ways did your work as a counselor inspire Crash Into Me?

I had a few “celebrities” kill themselves during my life. Good Lord, I wish I were there for that…I might have been able to talk them out of it.

4. If you could go on a road trip with three other well known people, who would you choose?

I would take Bruce Springsteen, Bruce Willis and Sarah Polley. Just kidding! Ghandi, Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr., and C.G. Jung. Next trip, I would take Springsteen.

5. What is one place in the world you would love to visit?

I would love to visit Antarctica, my favorite place in the entire world. Other than that, I want to visit Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia and Cape Hope.
